Hard to tell really I haven't had an oil related wear issue in any car since going to any synthetic. I also don't see any sludge in engines that I've worked on. Definitely not like my teenage years working on Chevy's in the 80's
I've used that Pennzoil that's made from natural gas for a while in a commuter that seemed pretty good as well. super clear looked like water.
