I love how the S3 has a dedicated USB charger port which makes it easier to install a radar detector via the front 12v charger.

I did it kinda crappy but it doesn't show. I just stuck the wire in the cracks of the dash and duck tapped it to a bar under the steering column. Very easy and I see no wires unless I really search under the foot well. However I have to stick radar on the dash since window mount will make turn to the left and not straight ahead.

Anyone know if it is possible to use a mirror tap power cord in the 2016 S3? I saw a video of someone doing it with a 2015 S3, but am unsure if I can do it in my 2016. I am planning on getting a detector and placing it on a mirror mount. Thanks for any help.

Even though radar detectors can be good for safety, I find them to be pointless because they constantly beep and they are incredibly distracting.

Sometimes the beep reminds me to look around lol.

I find the beeps annoying, but that's just me. I just remember to look around when I'm turning onto another street.
