I think the CLA45 would be more reasonable than the CLA250 to compare to an S3

I didn't care that much for the CLA45 either, thought the fit and finish felt real cheap compared to the S3.

I think it falls behind in interior quality in general, it doesn't have very good headroom. One note to take, it has more power than the S3 and a faster 0-60 time (CLA45, 375 hp; 2016 S3, 292 hp; 2017 S3, 305 hp. CLA45, 4.1 seconds to 60; 2016 S3, 4.7 seconds to 60; 2017 S3, 4.4 seconds to 60).

I agree, I drove the CLA45 and although it was fast... it just felt cheap. Couldn't feel much of a difference in power between the two and on dynamic... the audi sounds great inside the car. I took my '17 S3 canyon carving this past weekend (currently have 700 miles on it) to work the rev's abit... found out I need to do that more often.
