Anybody have a way to enable Video in Motion?

Some people were saying there was a way to unlock VIM with an SD card. http://www.audienthusiasts.com has teased it. Any word on this?

there is a software system similar to VCDS that will allow you to do VIM. I cant remember the name off my head right now but its out there for VAG.

Yea, this dongle has been around for a minute now. Only problem is people in the states are reporting that some have shipped with its "lockout" feature already activated, so when it plugs into your car it doesnt like the VIN and thinks it's a multiple use. They don't take returns and at $120 + shipping overseas has me kind of worried. It's a gamble. It's frustrating because the same script can be ran off an SD card and thus essentially downloaded for instant gradifaction, but instead I'm forced to wait and see if I've been scammed out of $120!? No thanks. To add further insult, the vcds software works fine and that's how I've previously tweaked my last 2 MMI systems but with this latest MMI system VIM via vcds is harder to do. Apparently Audi doesn't want us watching movies while we drive. What about our passengers? This could all be avoided if Audi just had a liability waiver required when you get your car. Rant over.

I'm just going to make my own executable script and get it done my self. I think I have an idea that might work. Thanks guys!

I bought the emmanuele design VIM unlock dongle for my S3 2017 and I'm here to report it works!!! I don't know if it only works on one car or not. I live in Las Vegas, NV if anyone with a S3 want's to meet up with me we can see if it's multi use.

I think I've read somewhere that the dongle locks itself to each vehicle so that you can't share it, but I'm glad to hear that it's working for our vehicles here in the states.

obd11. after buying the unit dont you have to still pay to unlock the vim feature as well?
they use tokens as monetary funds?
it seems to still be the same as the other current method.
if vcds coding is properly figured it there shouldn't be any further payments.

What other current method are you talking about? Emmanuel Design got served with a court order to stop selling their VIM device and last I check Ross-Tech still can't do it via VCDS.
So, OBD11 is the only way I thought it could be done.
About cost... The unit does cost $60 and yes VIM is only unlockable using their script/app for a cost of 100 credits. It cost $13 for 100 credits. Well worth it. All the other scripts/apps they offer are cool but merely shortcuts for 10 credits (you get 5 free each day) but it supports adaptation and long coding manually as well. Spending money beyond the $60 is optional if you know how to code.

I just coded a feature that auto rolls up my windows and sunroof when my car is parked and the rain sensor detects water!

Emmanuel design was one, there is another but its a master coder. I never got into it as it was pricey but very useful, a few hundreds.
