300hp - stock brakes enough?

Is the stock brakes good enough for a 300whp s3 8l or should they be upgraded?
Not driving on track, just for daily driving.

The brakes on the S3 should be able to handle 300whp without any issues. My mechanic said they are actually quite powerful for stock brakes.

It's for an older S3, the ones from 99-03. I have heard the stock brakes are a bit weak, looking at buying a used one with 300 whp but brakes has not been changed.

I wouldn't doubt the 8L's stock brakes are going to be weak for adding that much extra horsepower. Since you are not tracking I would suggest replacing to better discs and pads before shelling out the big bucks for a BBK.
