Hi was just wondering if anyone has just replaced the rubber boots for the spark plugs instead of the full coil pack. Have seen there is loads on ebay and if anyone had any recommendations?
Cheers
Is there something wrong with your boots? I had a coil go out on my 2003 e46 M3 and replaced them all out of caution. I'm thinking of replacing mine at some mileage TBD, with the APR ones. https://www.goapr.com/products/ignition_coils.html
I believe they havent been greased properly when last done. Only just bought the car and came to do the spark plugs and the rubber boots are seized. Coil pack is fine. Thanks for the advise
Maybe silicone spray to get them out, then white grease or dialectric when you install? I will take another look as I just did plugs at 40k miles. Would hate to have a coil break just doing plugs on a Saturday!
